When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from the identity provider.
When you create a Proof Pack, we collect the photos and videos you capture, along with capture metadata (timestamps, device clock data, capture profile settings). We collect GPS location only when you explicitly enable it for a capture. Location is never exposed in public verification views unless you also enable that sharing option.
Your media and metadata are used solely to create, seal, store, and verify Proof Packs. We do not use your content for advertising, training AI models, or any purpose unrelated to the HARDSIGHT service.
Sealed Proof Packs and their original artifacts are stored on servers located in the United States. Retention duration depends on your subscription plan. When retention expires, vault objects are deleted. Local copies on your device are managed by you.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. When you share a verification link, anyone with that link can view the Proof Pack's verification status and media. You control when and with whom you share links.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of HARDSIGHT, our users, or the public.
All communication with HARDSIGHT servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage — we never see or store your password in a form we could read. On iOS, authentication tokens are stored in the device's secure Keychain. Proof Packs are cryptographically signed by HARDSIGHT, and every file is fingerprinted with SHA-256. Vault objects are preserved for the length of your retention plan, and any change to a sealed Proof Pack is detectable through verification.
You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. This permanently removes your user record and associated data from our servers. You can request a copy of your data by emailing privacy@hardsight.io.
HARDSIGHT is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
